About Our Studio
At Broadway Arts & Dance Academy, there is no competition. We do not attend dance competitions passing on the costs of registration, costumes and travel to you. Instead, we focus on creating confident little humans by having them perform in our own recitals twice a year, as well as a multitude of other performance opportunities such as voice concerts, piano recitals, musicals, plays and movies. We try to unite a variety of skill levels at an early age and wait until each child shows their passion before truly pushing them to unlock their greatest potential.
Our Story
Our founders moved to St. Petersburg from New York City where they starred and appeared in 10 different Broadway Shows. They bring their skills as both professionals and parents to help nurture students as they grow into strong and expressive leaders.
What To Expect For the Year
Our school year runs from early August until the end of May. Every year, we produce two large recitals where classes perform what they've learned over the semester. Recitals are the students' reward for their hard work in classes every week and they are the highlights of their year. We work hard to make these shows fast and fun to watch even when your child isn't on stage. The recitals have over 300 students performing so we rely on volunteers to help us make the show happen. The winter recital is slightly smaller and costumes are minimal. The Spring Recital is huge with every class getting their own unique costume.
In the middle of each semester we have a voice/piano concert to allow our soloists to perform. These concerts are held either in-house or at a local concert venue.

Students start their journey in level 1 classes and progress as the instructors determine their grasp of the foundational elements of each level. It is not recommended to switch classes throughout the year.

We do not require a contractual commitment to attend the studio, however, please remember that each class works together to create their routines and performances, so attendance is critical as the recital grows closer and removing a student from the recital effects the entire class. Please review our RATES & POLICIES page before making any changes to your child's enrollment to avoid any fees.

You may opt out of emails as required by law, however, you do so at your own risk. We communicate en masse minimally throughout the year, but extensively as the recital grows near and critical information needs to be shared. Missing a required rehearsal may not seem like a big deal to you, but to us, and more so to your student, it may mean the difference between a great performance and an embarrassing memory. (It happens)

We are a small, family-owned business. We have grown so fast, so we work tirelessly to try to create a calm environment for you and your children. Our goal is to help create wonderful memories for your family, and we are always looking to make the studio a place where everyone looks forward to coming.
